Completed in 2007 both ahead of schedule and under budget, the Oslo Operahouse was the largest cultural structure built in Norway since Nidarosdomen was completed. The exterior, clad in granite and Italian marble, evokes an iceberg rising from the water with stark, straight lines and sharp angles. Inside, a rippling wall of golden oak provides a warm contrast to the exterior.
